First pitch for No. 1 seed Alabama vs. No. 4 seed Georgia is set for 4:45 p.m. here from Rhoads Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

Alabama took down Mississippi State 5-2 yesterday, and No. 4 Georgia beat No. 5 Kentucky 4-2. No. 3 Florida beat No. 2 Tennessee 2-1 earlier today, so the winner of this game will get the Gators.

Stay tuned to CW Sports for all of your updates.

FINAL: 1-0 Alabama

Top: Christine Olney leads off with a single for Georgia and then Grace Goulder is hit by a pitch. Brittney Hubbard struck out swinging. Anna Swafford struck out swinging. Tess Sito grounds out to the pitcher and that’ll do it.

No. 1 seed Alabama will face No. 3 seed Florida on Saturday at noon CT for the SEC Tournament championship. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

6th inning: 1-0 Alabama

Top: Georgia gets another hit, but still can’t get on the scoreboard. They’ll have one more shot in the seventh.

Bottom: Alabama gets a hit from Kayla Braud, but that’s all. We’ll head into the top of the seventh, where Georgia will have three outs to get a run.

5th inning: 1-0 Alabama

Top: Traina allows her fourth hit of the night, but gets the next three to keep the shutout going.

Bottom: Reilly-Boccia gets walked, but that’s all the Tide can do on offense. Conley’s homerun is still the difference in this game, heading to the sixth.

Also of note, Andrew Gribble of al.com confirms that Harvey Updyke was asked to leave today’s SEC Softball Tournament.

4th inning: 1-0 Alabama

Top: Scary moment here at Rhoads Stadium. 1b Cassie Reilly-Boccia went down after reaching out to make a catch on first. Niaja Griffin flew out to second and Hayes tried to throw out the runner at first before she tagged up. Reilly-Boccia gets right back up and looks to be ok.

The crowd’s really getting into this one after the injury to Reilly-Boccia. They’re on their feet every time the count hits two strikes and booing every ball.

Bottom: Alabama gets a hit from Jennifer Fenton, but can’t do anything after that. Still 1-0 heading into the fifth.

3rd inning: 1-0 Alabama

Top: Traina allows a walk, but strikes out the next two Bulldog batters and gets the next one to ground out. She’s going deep in her counts like yesterday, so fatigue will be something to keep an eye on.

Bottom: It looked like another perfect inning for Arevalo, but with two outs, Courtney Conley hits a solo homerun to left field that gives the Tide a 1-0 lead.

Also, UA announces that the time for tomorrow’s championship game has been moved up to 12:00 p.m. due to weather. The game can be seen on ESPN2.

2nd inning: 0-0

Top: Traina walks Ashley Razey, but Niaja Griffin, pinch-running for Razey, is thrown out trying to steal second. Traina gets the next two batters to ground out.

Bottom: Again, Arevalo gets the first three Tide batters out. She hasn’t allowed a baserunner through two innings.

1st inning: 0-0

Top: Jackie Traina is in the circle for Alabama again, and she gives up two hits to the first three batters. She gets out of the jam, though, as one runner was called out for leaving base early and the other flew out to right center field.

Bottom: Georgia pitcher Erin Arevalo gets the first three Tide batters, and we’re headed to the top of the second all tied up.
